      <image:caption>After watching the Zac Efron and Darin Olien documentary “Down to Earth” on Netflix, I decided I wanted to do more research on a superfood I had never heard of in Eastern Canada, but that they raved about in the documentary: Camu Camu. According to a McGill University scientist, Jonathan Jarry, “the show makes questionable and scientifically inaccurate claims in part through the platforming of dubious “experts.”” This is just another reminder that we can’t believe everything we see, and that we need to do our own research. So here I am, sussing out what Camu-Camu actually is, and if it’s benefits are actually as incredible as what “Down to Earth” and Darin Olien suggest they are.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Here’s a little sumthin, sumthin about me! I grew up in the Montreal suburbs and spent most of my free time on competitive sports teams, including volleyball, field hockey, synchronised swimming, figure skating, dance, cross country, track and field and more. Dancing is what finally allowed me to break into the professional sports scene as one of the Can-Can dancers at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, where I stayed for two years. When I returned to Canada, I completed my Bachelors at Concordia University and I started to teach Barre classes in the Montreal area.  As a fitness instructor, I fell in love with the gym and all aspects of health and wellness, including areas I had never explored before, like reformer pilates, HIIT classes, yoga, and strength training. After graduating university in Marketing, I decided to move to Sydney, Australia for a change of scene. There I became fascinated by the health conscious community around Bondi Beach and started working at Barry’s Bootcamp in 2019. In Bondi, everyone was into fitness, and that encouraged me to turn my love for fitness and sports into a full time career. I have been working full-time in fitness ever since! The high energy atmosphere at Barry’s mixed well with my own style of fitness instruction, and that energy and intensity is what you can expect from all of my workouts.  I want to share my passion for exercise and wellness with others and help them discover their passion and excitement for fitness and healthy living. With a mix of cardio exercises and weighted/body weight strength exercises, you will leave sweaty and stronger after every session! The HIIT style training allows you to stay in the fat burning zone for an extended period of time. Overall, your cardiovascular endurance will increase, as will your muscle endurance, with higher rep exercises. Suitable for beginner/intermediate/advanced levels. COVID19 measures: Groups are limited to 8 due to Covid19 precautions. Equipment is provided, as is disinfectant spray and wipes for the equipment.
